Recover in the tub after intense workouts
When I ask people what they do after a brutal workout, their answer is usually nothing. Even if their body can recover from a long training session, are they really getting the most out of their workout the next day? Once at the top you had to pull a rolled hose up the 6 stories, then put it down and go back down the 6 flights of stairs. Once you got back to the bottom you had to hit a sled with a sledgehammer until it moved about 10 feet. Continue reading -

Firefighters are known for what they do on the job, but many of us pride ourselves on what we do off the clock. Most of us chose this career to help people. And when that alarm rings, it’s a beacon to help someone in distress from a fire or medical emergency. But you probably don’t know that many of us also volunteer in the community to reinforce our bond with the public. Continue reading -
Three Best Exercises to Train like a Firefighter
Many people think firefighters have an easy job. They think to themselves “how many fires can I possibly get.” Well, although firefighters might not fight a fire every day they go on shift, they must constantly train for one. Being a firefighter is not an easy job, and that goes both mentally and physically. Continue reading
